Admission:

The candidate desiring
admission must possess recognized MBBS degree or equivalent qualification and
should have obtained permanent Registration with the Medical Council of
India, or the Gujarat State Medical Council or should obtain the same within
one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the
candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the
case of a foreign national, s/he has obtained temporary registration from the
Medical Council of India for the duration of the postgraduate training
restricted to the Pramukhswami Medical College to which he is admitted for
the time being exclusively for postgraduate studies.
·
The candidate would be
required to attach himself to a postgraduate teacher of the college in the
subject of his studies and work under him or them after registration for the
period prescribed by the Regulations. The work done by him after registration
only will be taken into account for the purpose of satisfying the
requirements for admission to the examination as prescribed under the
relevant Regulations.
·
The candidate would
have to get himself registered by applying in the prescribed form for
registration as postgraduate student of the Sardar Patel University. Within 1
month of admission the college will collect the registration fees and credit
to the University ordinarily in the beginning of the academic term or at any
time suitable to the college.
·
None of the PG
students during the entire period of their PG studentship/studies will be
allowed to take up any employment or to do any private practice. They will
have to work as full time PG students in the respective departments.

The students who have
been registered as postgraduate students would be required to pay regularly
the prescribed fee due to the college before due date.

A candidate may be
registered either for a postgraduate degree or diploma. The period of
registration for postgraduate degree or diploma will end with the completion
of the required terms. Simultaneous registration for PG degree / diploma in
other subject shall not be permitted.
Every application for
registration as postgraduate student of the University shall be:

registration fee, supporting documents, etc and

submitted to the
University, through the Dean or through the person so authorized by him
within the time limit as may be indicated

Swami Rama Himalayan
University is a private state University located about 25
kilometers southeast of Dehradun city and in close vicinity of Jolly Grant
Airport, in north Indian state of Uttarakhand. The university is named after
revered Indian Yogi Swami Rama. In April 2012, a proposal for establishing a
University was put before the Government of Uttarakhand by Himalayan
Institute Hospital Trust. In December 2012 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly
passed the 'Himalayan University Bill, 2012' and in February 2013 it became a
Act through the assent of Governor of Uttarakhand as Himalayan University
Act, 2012 (Uttarakhand Adhiniyam Sankhya 12 of 2013 . The first academic
session of university was started from July 2013 .

Himalayan University is being established with an objective to provide for
instruction, teaching, training and research in such branches of study as the
University deems appropriate including medical sciences, dental sciences,

Eligibility
:
MBBS :
·
The candidate must
have passed the 10+2, i.e. C.B.S.E./I.S.C/ Intermediate board examination or
its equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study in one attempt, the last
two years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology /
Biotechnology and English from a recognized Board. The candidatemust have
passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and
English individually and must have obtained : (i) A minimum of exact 60% (For
SC/ST/OBC candidates a minimum of exact 50%) marks in aggregate in Physics,
Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology, taken together. (ii) A minimum of exact
50% (For SC/ST/OBC candidates a minimum of exact 40%) marks separately in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology in the qualifying examination.
·
Candidates who are
appearing in the qualifying examination and whose results are not available
are also eligible to appear in the entrance examination. However, they must
submit the marks sheet on or before the date specified in the information
brochure, such candidates shall not be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S.
course, if they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria. If an applicant is
inadvertently allowed to take the PMEE inviolation of the admission
requirements (eligibility criteria), he/she cannot, at a later date claim
that he/she meets the eligibility criteria.
Admission Procedure:

Every year in the
month of May, the University conducts the all India level Pre Medical
Entrance Examination (PMEE). A merit list is prepared based on this
examination. The candidates are called for counseling in the month of
June/July. The session starts from 1st September every year.
·
The information
brochure is made available by the University sometime in the month of January
of the admission year. Information regarding the availability of the brochure
is widely publicized through national newspapers.
Age :
A candidate who has
completed at least 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of
admission is eligible. The Upper Age Limit shall be 25 years as on 31st
December of the year of admission. Only Date of Birth recorded in the High
School / I.C.S.E. or its equivalent certificate will be accepted.

post graduates and graduates receive suitable placements. In this context,
