It gives me immense pleasure to introduce you to the SGT universe comprising
Shree Guru Gobind Singh University (SGT) and the SGT Institute of Engineering
& Technology, Gurgaon. Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University
came into existence through a Haryana Legislative Act in 2013 and opened its gates
to all segments of the society under the parasol of Dashmesh Educational
Charitable Trust, which was founded in 1999 with the holly cause of spreading
the message of Shree Guru Gobind Singh—the great philosopher and social
reformer. In fact, the seeds for its magnificent growth were sown way back in
2002 with the establishment of the SGT Dental College. The University is
situated on the outskirts of Gurgaon—the commercial, industrial and
educational hub of the country, just 20 km from Delhi Airport, with Sultanpur
Birds Sanctuary in its vicinity.
The University is
based on strong pillars of its commitment for dissemination of knowledge in

Eligibility
:
BDS : Haryana Common Admission Test (HCAT)
MDS :
A) Candidate eligible
for appearing for admission in the MDS Course if he/she possess:
·
Has passed the BDS
examination with 50% from any Dental College/ institution recognized by the
Dental Council of India
·
Has completed
satisfactorily one year compulsory rotating Internship from colleges
recognized by the Dental Council of India on or before 31st March. However,
the candidates who have passed their BDS Course prior to 1991 and are
registered with the Haryana Dental Council will be exempted from the
application of this pre condition.
·
Has been registered permanently
with the State Dental Council /DCI at the time of admission
·
Possesses a
certificate of good conduct from the head of Institution last attended.
B) The candidate will
also produce the above-mentioned certificates (1-4) in original at the time
of counseling without which the admission shall not be granted.
C) Candidates already
in service must submit their application form through their employer or
produce ‘No Objection Certificate from the employer on or before the last
date of receipt of the application form.

sanctioned intake, 15% of seats are reserved for NRI Candidates.

NRI quota is granted as per the rules applicable.

Fee Structure :
·
Applicable as per the
decision and guideline of the State Fee committee, Government of Haryana,

finally selected to BDS Course shall be required to deposit the requisite fee
within seven days positively,otherwise the Candidature will be rejected.

Annual College Fee
will be charged at the time of admission and every year (up to 4 years) in
the month of September as decided by the fee committee.

Duration: The normal period of completing the MDS
course shall be three academic years including the period of examination.
It is a postgraduate degree with a specialization in a
particular subject. The M.D.S. course is available in Eight different

Note: In addition to Tution fee, the mandatory
other charges i.e Library charges, Research charges, CDE CME
charges,university charges, internet charges, sports charges security, hostel
& mess charges etc.will be charged accordingly.
HOSTEL FACILITY: Separate hostel accommodation and mess
facility is available for boys and girls. The well furnished rooms are
provided with all the required comforts and amenities including hot water, 24
hour power backup, laundry, Wi-Fi connectivity & recreational facilities

Pt. B.D.Sharma, PGIMS,
Rohtak is situated at a distance of about 240 km from Chandigarh and about 70
km from Delhi on Delhi-Hissar-Sirsa-Fazilka National Highway (NH-10). It is
the only major Institution for Medical Education and Research and a
tertiary care centre for provision of specialized health care services not
only to the people of the State of Haryana, but also to those from
Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and western U.P. The Institute was started
under the name of Medical College, Rohtak in the year 1960. For the
first three years, the students were admitted to Medical College, Patiala
which acted as a host Institution. In 1963, the students were shifted
to Rohtak. In the subsequent years, multifaceted expansion measures
have transformed the Institute into a fully developed center of Medical
Education and research in all the major disciplines of Medicine. In the
year 1994, Medical College, Rohtak was renamed as Pt. B.D.Sharma, Medical

Eligibility

MBBS/BDS :
·
The candidate must
have passed 12th Class Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education,
Haryana or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least
50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and must
have also passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
individually ( 40% marks in case of SC/ BC and SBC) and (45% marks in case of
Physically Handicapped as per MCI, New Delhi notification dated 25/3/09).
·
Must have passed AIPMT
2016 and have MERIT SCORE CARD for Haryana State as a result of the All India
Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test – 2015 by securing not less than 50%
marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together in the competitive
examination (40% marks in case of SC/BC & SBC instead of 50% for General
Candidates). Further for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs,
the minimum of 45% for Gen-PH and 40% for SC-PH/BC-PH & SBC-PH are
required.
·
No candidate who has
failed to obtain the minimum eligibility marks as above shall be eligible for
admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
